Meat The Greek
The spirit of a place, on screen.
A warm editorial direction for a Greek restaurant in Ixelles, with a readable menu and clear routes to its services.
The starting point
Meat The Greek, a Greek restaurant near Flagey, wanted a better presentation of its setting, menu and services. Information needed to be accessible on mobile while retaining the restaurant’s personality.
The solution
I defined an editorial direction combining large interior photographs, expressive typography and a charcoal, cream and soft gold palette. Three pages structure the experience: home, menu and catering. The HTML menu groups dishes into eight categories. Links distinguish collection from delivery platforms, while reservations remain by phone and catering enquiries go to the team.
Approach & tools
Versions evolved through feedback on layouts, colours and buttons, particularly on mobile. The implementation uses HTML, CSS and JavaScript, with AI assistance for code, copy and revisions. The FR/NL/EN switcher adapts connected elements; some menu descriptions remain in French. The logo and photographs are existing restaurant assets. I also worked on the website’s search engine optimisation (SEO).
The project in practice
The designed journey lets visitors browse the menu, choose collection or delivery, and discover catering. Practical information supports a visit to the restaurant, while ordering and reservations use its existing services.
